William Jarrett was known to everyone as Bill. My name is Sheila and I am his daughter and only child. My Dad passed away on 14th January 1973, at the age of 49yrs.
My Dad joined the RAF, during the war, and it was there that he met my mum. They married in June 1946, in St Philips Church in Litherland, where during Mum's early years they had lived in the school house which was attached to the school inside the church grounds..
They had a real air force wedding with Dad and his best man in uniform and mum in a beautiful silk dress with a veil and she carried a large bouquet, i never did find out if the fabric for her dress was parachute silk.!!
Shortly after Dad was posted abroad, he went to Burmah, Singapore and Borneo, to name just a few.
when he returned Mum had found us a house. They both stayed in the same house for the rest of their lives.
Dad had many different jobe, he was a heavy goods driver, a driving instructor for the BSM and finaly he began work on the Ribble busses as a conductor. Gradualy he trained to become a driver and that was to be his final job.
For someone who had never ailed in his life, to be dead in just three months, was a terrible shock to us all. I don't think Mum ever got over it.
Dad you are up with the angels and you also have Mum. There is so much for you both to catch up on.
I love and miss you both more than words can say,
God bless you both until we are together again.
with all my love
Sheila. xxxxxxx

Hi Dad
Hi Dad it's me again, I hope you and Mum liked the flowers I brought for you both.
I am so lonely Dad, what can I do. I miss you both so much. You and Mum have a hug from me.
All my love always, your Sheila. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I'm so lonely
Life's just not the same
Now that you and Mum have gone.
There is a big piece of me missing
I feel lost and all alone.
You were taken far too early
It just seems so unfair,
How I wish that I could open my eyes
And see you standing there.
I send you and Mum all my love, till we meet again.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I miss you so much.
I miss you so much,Dad,
It hurts more each day.
Mum and I lost out on many years,
When God took you away.
I knew that you were suffering.
I knew you were in pain
I would not want you to suffer
In that way again.
Just keep a place beside you
With Mum at your right hand.
I will fill that empty seat
When I join you in the promised land.
With all my love and kisses
Sheila.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I MISS YOU
I MISS YOU SO MUCH,
IT HURTS EVERY DAY.
EACH DAY YOU SEEM FURTHER AND FURTHER AWAY.
I KNOW I HAVE YOU WITH ME,
YOU ARE HERE INSIDE MY HEART.
THAT IS WHERE YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN
SINCE WEE'VE BEEN APART.
GOD BLESS YOU DAD
I LOVE YOU. XXXXX
